When China's bloggers get excited, that's when you know you've hit something special. Superstar Madonna almost broke the Internet this week after she fell off the stage while performing at the 2015 Brit Awards.

With thousands of eyes watching, the diva tumbled down a set of stairs and landed awkwardly after a dancer tried to remove a cape she was wearing at the start of her routine for new song, ‘Living for Love.'

Madonna fell from the stage while she was singing her song Love For Live at the Brit Awards.

While it had true potential for meme stardom, this is one fall that seems to have won her favors. Chinese users particularly seemed to admire her spirit, after she got up and kept going with the show.

The 56-year-old issued a statement later saying she was "fine" and that her cape had been "tied too tight".

"Nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up," she wrote on Instagram, referencing the lyrics to her song. "Thanks for your good wishes!"

On Chinese weibo it started a storm of comments:

“Madonna fell of the stage at the Brits Award. It must be hurt. But she didn't seem to be affected by that and continued with her performance. That is professional!”, a user @yingguonaxieshier said.

The painful incident came at the end of a ceremony where Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith shared the honors, winning two awards each.
