Snow hits north China's Shanxi Province
Snow started to hit north China's Shanxi Province on Thursday night, with the snowfall at most areas reaching three to five centimeters thick on Friday.
The snowfall was more than six centimeters thick at the middle and southern parts of the province.
The snow weather is expected to last until Saturday.
Meteorological department in the capital city of Taiyuan issued a yellow alert on icing. For safety, several expressways in the city have been closed.
